Rev. Phil Haslanger

Phil Haslanger is the pastor at Memorial United Church of Christ in Fitchburg, a suburb of Madison.

He spent most of his adult life working in journalism for The Capital Times, where he was a reporter, city editor, editorial page editor, and managing editor. In 2002, he was president of the National Conference of Editorial Writers (now the Association of Opinion Journalists). He now is on the managing board of the Religion News Service.

Haslanger began his journey into the ministry in 2003 and was ordained a minister in the United Church of Christ in 2007.
